Dave "Blingy" Muir Comes Out On Top

Dave Muir has taken out the 30 lap sprintcar A-main last night after a hectic feature race. Muir has been on fire all season and added another feature race win to this season collection. He was Top qualifier before going into the dash where he was defeated by Brent Aprile, but it was all Dave Muir in the feature with Brent Aprile and Andrew Scheuerle rounded out the top three. Peter Lack was a man on a mission after blowing and engine in his last heat, the team changed motors and he was back out in the a main but failed to finish due to a flat tyre.

Support classes on the night turned it on as well with the first ever running of the "Kingfisher Bay Resort" street sedan shootout. Frank Packer held on for the win with Scott Thomsen just 0.070 behind on the line. Steve Thomsen finished in third.

The SSA 4-Cylinder sedans were also back in action for the night with Paul Redman taking out the feature race win. Glenn Richters finished second with James Elliot in first. Both Toby Cryer and Q1 Russell Cowley were back in action after massive rollovers at our last meeting over the new years weekend. Both drivers retired from the feature race with mechanical problems.

The ASCF juniors turned up with a strong force of 22 cars it was Brody Thomsen who took out the feature race with Patrick Brennan finishing second and Brendan Learoyd in third.

It was a fantastic night of racing by all divisions and a massive thank you must go out to all drivers crew officials volunteers and everyone else for turning up for a fantastic meeting. We look forward to our next meeting for the Australian Speedcar Title in March ...16th & 17th March
