Season Passes are on offer to Maryborough Sporting Car Club members only. However, anyone can become a MSCC member. Forms are on the FORMS page of this website. Club Membership - only $40 MSCC Season Pass - only $210 (or $250 if purchased after 17th September) So for only $250 you can become a member of the Maryborough Sporting Car Club, gain entry into every single Maryborough Speedway event plus park inside the venue on race nights in the VIP parking section. There are still 16 nights of racing to come this season, so you do the math, $25 per night x 16 nights = $400 that is a huge saving of over $150 during the Maryborough Speedway season. Annual General Meeting held last night Posted 2nd September, 2011 The Maryborough Sporting Car Club Annual General Meeting was held last night. Yet again another poor turnout of members turned out for the meeting, however they was enough for a quorum. Congratulations to all the new new office bearers which are listed below. Annual General Meeting Posted 31st August, 2011 Just a reminder that the Maryborough Sporting Car Club Annual General Meeting will be held in the upstairs function of the Maryborough RSL on Wednesday 1st September. The AGM will commence at 7pm SHARP. The Annual General Meeting will be followed by a General Meeting. Practice Night one - a huge success Posted 28th August, 2011 Over 80 cars turned out for the opening practice night of the season which attracted cars from as far away as Mackay in North Queensland and Grafton in New South Wales. Everything from V8 Sprintcars, V8 Dirt Modifieds, V8 Super Sedans, V8 Late Models, Midget Speedcars, Formula 500's, Wingless Sprints, Dwarf Cars, Modified Productions, Super Street Sedans, Street Sedans, Junior Sedans and even Nostalgia Sedans took time to cut some practice laps on the ever popular Maryborough Speedway. The next practice will be held at the Maryborough Speedway in two weeks on Saturday 11th September. This practice will commence at 5pm and run for approx 5 hours. Practice will only cost $30 per car and admission will once again be free. Great line up of cars for Practice this Saturday Night Posted 25th August, 2011 A great variety and line up of cars are heading to the Maryborough Speedway this Saturday night for the first official practice session of the speedway season. V8 Sprintcars, V8 Dirt Modifieds, V8 Super Sedans, V8 Late Models, Midgets, Formula 500's, Wingless Sprints, Modified Productions and more have all confirmed that they will be attending the practice session this Saturday night which kicks off from 5pm. Practice will run for approx 4.5 hours and the cost for drivers is only $30 per car. Admission for spectators is FREE and a canteen will be in operation during the night. Drivers from as far away as Grafton in New South Wales and Mackay in North Queensland will be in action this Saturday night. Practice sessions like these are a great opportunity for drivers to get plenty of track time, and are a great chance for fans to check out the new paint jobs for the season and sample plenty of different divisions all on the same night and all for FREE. So if you haven't got anything planned for Saturday Night, come on out to the Maryborough Speedway to see some FREE speedway action and while your here grab a delicious hot pie and a cup of Maryborough Speedway's famous hot chips. On track action starts from 5pm. Practice this Saturday Night Posted 23rd August, 2011 Looking somewhere to dial the car in before the season starts? Well, the Maryborough Speedway will be holding two pre-season practice sessions the first is on this Saturday night, 28th August, 2010 and the second in two weeks on Saturday 11th September, 2010. Both Practice Sessions will commence at 5pm and finish at 9:30pm. The cost to practice is only $30 per car and admission for spectators, crews and fans is FREE. A canteen will be in operation during both nights. Drivers will be required to produce their log books/rego, licence & insurance to practice, so don’t forget to bring them along. These practice nights will be on fully prepared race surfaces, with an ambulance on site, as well as a fire & rescue crew. All divisions are welcome. AGM nominations closing soon Posted 18th August, 2011 The Maryborough Sporting Car Club would like to notify all members that the Annual General Meeting will be held in the upstairs function of the Maryborough RSL on Wednesday 1st September. Nominations for all executive and committee positions are now open and nomination forms are available on the 'FORMS' page of this website, or can be obtained from Ryan at the Speedway Office. "Wholesale, Trade & Security Products" Modified Production Aussie open Posted 17th August, 2011 Modified Production racing in Queensland is already big, but it is going get another huge boost when 2011 starts with a huge bang, when the Maryborough Speedway once again hosts the “Wholesale, Trade & Security Products” 2011 Modified Production Australian Open.
After the success of last season’s event, the Australian Open will be once again held at Maryborough Speedway, this time over the 2011 New Years long weekend which will be Saturday 1st January & Sunday 2nd January, 2011, with a huge New Years Eve party & Calcutta being held at the track under a giant white marque, which will have live entertainment, cheap drinks and finger food all night. The event will be contested over 2 nights with five rounds of heats (3 on the first night & 2 on the second night), along with the C & B Mains and the all important 50 lap Australian Open. 24 cars will contest the 50 lap feature. With the huge support of Ken Ashurst from Wholesale, Trade & Security Products the feature race will now pay $5000 to winner. Infact, the just the A Main has a prize pool of $15500 and based on 90 cars (not including tow money) will pay close to $30,000, making the “Wholesale, Trade & Security Products” Australian Open the richest paying Modified Production event ever held. With some of the fastest cars in the country including Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales, Western Australia and a huge host of Queenslanders already showing plenty of interest. This event will be the biggest Modified Production event, ever held anywhere this season. A huge car count is expected, and the Maryborough club has ensured that every car will receive at least $200 prize money for making the trip to the Maryborough Speedway for the 2011 Modified Production Australian Open. This is going to be another huge event for the Maryborough Speedway and the Modified Production division. New South Wales smash the Queenslaners Posted 14th August, 2011 In what can only be described as an amazing night of bike racing, the New South Wales team has raced home to smash the Queensland in round seven of the State or Origin Solo Test Match. The New South Wales team, dominated proceedings all night, with a convincing win by a big margin. The racing throughout the night was exceptional, with a lot of very close racing, plenty of side by side passing and nail biting finishes. In the Sidecar Fraser Coast Classic, Brisbane duo Wayne Munck / Yolanda Wilken raced home to beat a star studded field of sidecars. The current Australian Champs Jason Aldridge / Cal Campbell from Townsville finished second ahead of Brisbane father and son team Paul & Daniel Newman. Over 2000 people witness a fantastic night of bike racing, with fans coming from as far away as Melbourne, Adelaide and even Perth to watch this great event. The Queensland team is a cracker field lead by captain and former international Scott Smith. He leads an impressive team; Mitchell Weismantel, Damien Koppe, Harley Horwood, Ashley Cathcart, Clinton Dennis and Craig Hyde (reserve). NSW team who currently leads the series 4.5 to 1.5 is extremely strong and extremely confident about giving claiming the gold this Saturday night. The Farrell Transport NSW team is: Tim Heffernam, Bryce Johnston, Daine Stevens, Joey Ringwood, Daniel Begley, Mason Campton and Anthony Perks (reserve). Daniel Begley says he has recovered from his hand and ankle injuries suffered at Tamworth and Kurri in June and has declaried himself fit for the Queensland trip. Working Bee this Sunday Posted 9th August, 2011 The Maryborough Speedway will be holding a working bee this Sunday (15th August) commencing from 9am. The fences need to be pulled down around the bar so earthworks can commence on the "lifting of the bar" project which must be completed prior to the 25th September race meeting. So bring your gear for a few hours of pulling down fences and moving a bit of timber at the Maryborough Speedway working bee this Sunday morning at 9am. Seven Wide Bay joins forces with the Maryborough Speedway Posted 5th August, 2011 The Maryborough Speedway is extremely excited to announce that Channel 7 - Wide Bay has signed on as the major sponsor for the 2010/11 Fraser Coast Modified Production Drivers Championship and the 4 Cylinder Sedan Super Series for the upcoming season all to be held at the Maryborough Speedway.

The “Quantum Racing Industries” Super Street Series is a great boost for the Super Street Sedan division and will be contested over four rounds all at the Maryborough Speedway. Here are the dates of the “Quantum Racing Industries” Series: Round 1 – 9th October, 2010, Round 2 – 2nd January, 2011, Round 3 – 19th February, 2011, Round 4 – 12th June, 2011. The format of each night will feature the normal 3 rounds of heats and a 20 lap A Main.
A Main - 1st - $400, 2nd - $300, 3rd - $200, 4th - $100 and all other cars will receive $80 that start the first heat. Two Queensland vs NSW-Farrell Transport Interstate matches will be held - at Maryborough Speedway on Saturday night, August 14 and at North Brisbane on Sunday afternoon, August 15. Queensland will held the same team for both matches: Scott Smith, Mitchell Weismantel, Damien Koppe, Harley Horwood, Ashley Cathcart, Clinton Dennis and Craig Hyde (reserve). NSW will make a minor swap to the number four position with Joey Ringwood riding at Maryborough and Anthony Perks going in at North Brisbane. Redman wins Champion of Champions Posted 19th July, 2011 Close to 100 people turned out to the annual Maryborough Speedway Trophy Presentation dinner. A great night and "early morning" was had by all, but it was Hervey Bay's Paul Redman who not only took out the 4 Cylinder Sedan Club Championship, but captured the overall club Champion of Champions award, which is awarded to the highest overall points in the Maryborough Sporting Car Club. Repairs need to be carried out to the catch fence for the new season, as well as doing services on the water trucks, fire truck and push cars. Awesome field of Sidecars for Fraser Coast Classic Posted 14th July, 2011 In just one months time, bikes return to the Maryborough Speedway. Along with the Qld vs NSW Solo Test Match, a sensational field of sidecars will battle it out in the Fraser Coast Classic. A start-studded field which could possible be the best field of sidecars ever seen at the Maryborough Speedway. Already a full field of 16 riders have nominated, which includes the current Australian Champion team Jason Aldridge / Cal Campbell. The Aldridge / Campbell combination took the win in the Aussie Title held at Newcastle earlier in the season and will be extremely hard to beat on the super fast Maryborough track. Also among the early nominations is the former World Champions Scott Christopher / Trent Koppe, the current Queensland Champions Brodie Cohen / Gareth Ferguson, New South Wales flyers and last start winners at Maryborough Darren Cafe / Don Morris. Add to this the Paul Newman / Daniel Newman, Wayne Munk / Yolanda Wilkin, Ross Brown / Ricky Temini and the Gladstone Schofield super team, this is going to be an amazing field of Sidecars who will contest the Fraser Coast Classic. Also on the program is the Solo Test Match between Qld and NSW, which those sides have just about been finalised. Bikes return to Maryborough Speedway on 14th August Posted 5th July, 2011 After the success of the bike meeting earlier in the year, the Bikes return to Maryborough Speedway on Saturday 14th August. The night will feature the cream of the crop when Qld's finest Solo riders take on the NSW touring A Grade side in the "Qld vs NSW" Solo Test Match. With one of the biggest seasons ever planned now well and truly on
the horizon for the Maryborough Speedway, those planning on
attending all or any of the big nights during the 2010-11 season are
advised that membership and season’s passes are now on sale.
Those that join the Maryborough Sporting Car Club as members are
advised that they will receive the following benefits: The season pass doesn’t include it pit entry, so the extra Pit Entry cost (eg. $3 for insured drivers or $10 without insurance) will still have to be paid at each race meeting. Basically the Membership package
speaks for itself, with the Car Park Pass and access to the Members
Car Parks on the inside of the venue being one of the key

The AGM will commence at 7pm SHARP. Nominations for all executive and committee positions are now open and nomination forms are available on the 'FORMS' page of this website, or can be obtained from Ryan at the Speedway Office.
